What does the treatment involve?
An injection of hyaluronic acid may reduce the gap between the lower eyelid and the cheek. It does not correct in the same way a brown pigmentation, visible vessels or pockets under the eyes.
Who is this treatment for?
Adults with a really hollow ring, skin and appropriate tissues. Very fine skin, pockets or a tendency to inflate upon awakening may make the injection inappropriate. Age alone does not allow choice of treatment.
How's the session going?
- The examination distinguishes hollow, color and pockets, and evaluates the support of the cheek. Previous treatments in front of the eyes are being sought.
- After disinfection, a small amount of product is placed at the chosen depth, often at the cannula.
- The correction is measured on a voluntary basis. The result is controlled after resorption of swelling before any addition.
How long do you expect?
About 20 to 30 minutes for a localised treatment, not including the initial consultation.
Is it painful?
The point of entry stings; pressure can be felt under the eye. Any unusual pain should be reported immediately.
What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?
Swelling or blue may remain visible for several days, sometimes 1-2 weeks. The region can swell longer in people who are subject to oedema.
When will I see results?
The hollow changes from the session. The assessment is done after 2 to 4 weeks if the area remains swollen.
How long do the effects last?
The effect may persist for a year or more depending on the product and person. Before the eyes, the freeze can stay for a long time: renewal is decided on examination, not on an automatic calendar.
Before and after your appointment
Do not massage the kernel without any indication. Advise the practice in case of swelling that persists or appears at a distance from treatment.
Precautions to be considered
Long-lasting oedema, bluish colouring or irregularities are possible. The closeness of the eye requires great caution; a visual disorder after injection is an emergency.
