Hyaluronic acid fillers in Montpellier

Fill a hollow or restore a volume with a resorbable gel, chosen according to the area of the face.

The times below are general estimates. The length of your appointment and your recovery instructions depend on the treatment area and the protocol selected.

What does the treatment involve?

Hyaluronic acid retains water and forms a gel. Injected at a precise depth, it can support a cheekbone, draw a chin or soften certain furrows. Volumizing products and products intended for hydration do not have the same use.

Who is this treatment for?

Adults hampered by insufficient volume, loss of support or an installed furrow. A demand on a young face often concerns proportions; on a mature face, it may concern lost volumes. Active acne on the area leads to delaying the procedure.

How's the session going?

  1. The review shall specify the area to be corrected and the quantity envisaged. Product name, estimate and history of injection are checked.
  2. The skin is disinfected. The doctor uses a needle or cannula depending on the depth and anatomy.
  3. The product is deposited in small quantities. A check can be made after the immediate follow-up has been completed.

How long do you expect?

Often 15 to 30 minutes for an area; more if several regions are treated.

Is it painful?

Clamping when the needle passes, then pressure or tension. The product may contain an anaesthetic; additional anaesthesia depends on the area.

What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?

Life generally resumes quickly. Redness, swelling and blue may be visible several days; some persist 1 to 2 weeks.

When will I see results?

The volume correction is immediate. Usually wait 2 weeks to appreciate the shape without swelling.

How long do the effects last?

Several months, often 6 to 12 months; some references and areas have a longer effect. The physician shall specify the expected duration of the freeze retained.

Before and after your appointment

Avoid handling the area, strong heat and intense effort just after treatment according to instructions received. Never stop a prescribed treatment on your own initiative.

Precautions to be considered

Injections have a rare risk of vascular obstruction. Unusual pain, white or violacious skin or vision disorder require immediate help. Report pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies and old permanent products.
