What does the treatment involve?
Profhilo is an injectable product based on hyaluronic acid used for skin quality. It is distributed in tissues and is not used to draw a lip or create the projection of a chin as a volumizing gel.
Who is this treatment for?
Adults with dehydrated skin, less supple or slightly loosened, especially on mature skin. It can also affect a younger skin depending on its condition. An active acne on the injection points asks to postpone the session.
How's the session going?
- The doctor examines the thickness and flexibility of the skin and chooses the area to be treated.
- After cleaning and disinfection, the product is injected in points defined by technique and anatomy.
- The initial protocol usually consists of two sessions spaced approximately one month apart. A check makes it possible to decide the next step.
How long do you expect?
Approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on the area, not including any surface anaesthesia.
Is it painful?
needle pricks with a short burning or tension sensation at each deposit. The comfort depends in particular on the area and your sensitivity.
What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?
Small bumps at injected points can be visible for 1-2 days, sometimes more. Blues are possible; everyday life can usually resume quickly.
When will I see results?
The improvement of flexibility is built over several weeks. It is appreciated after the initial protocol rather than immediately after a single injection.
How long do the effects last?
The effect continues over the months. The calendar is adapted to the skin condition and the exact product, without automatic renewal until the examination justifies it.
Before and after your appointment
Do not massage deposits without instructions. Report recent injection care in the same area and protect the skin from the sun.
Precautions to be considered
Profhilo does not remove excess skin and does not replace a surgical lift. Oedema, blue, infection and injection-related complications are to be known.
