Solar lentigo, melasma or HPI: three causes, three protocols

Brown spots do not all treat in the same way. The solar lentigo results from UV exposure (isolated areas). The melasma is hormonal and diffuse (plays, forehead, symmetrical). TheHPI (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) is a sequence of acne or injury. Accurate diagnosis avoids aggravation — especially melasma, very sensitive to UV and heat.

The peculiarity of Dr Marianne Cayatte: she systematically integrates nutrition and microbiota in the protocol. Intestinal inflammation often precedes skin inflammation (taches, acne, expansion of small facial vessels). Correcting the biological cause amplifies the results of local care.

Understanding pigmenting tasks

The pigmental tasks result from the accumulation of melanin, the dark pigment synthesized by melanocytes in the skin.

There are two types of melanin, phaeomelanin (marron) and eumelanin (black), which contribute to skin hyperpigmentation.

Factors such as sun exposure, hormonal factors as well as inflammatory intestine stimulate and maintain the appearance of these brown tasks, with loss of shine and youth of skin.

Types of pigment tasks

There are three types of brown tasks, each with specific causes:

  • Solar Lentigos (show photos) or senile: Old age tasks related to overexposure to UV rays, often present on the face, neck, neck, or hands.
  • Melama: influenced by hormonal factors, often appearing on the forehead, cheekbones, or upper lip, especially during pregnancy or menopause.
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH): resulting from strong inflammation, often associated with scars, injuries, or acne buttons.

Dr. Marianne Cayatte's Medico Aesthetic Treatments for Discontinuation of the Activities of these Tasks

Dr Marianne Cayatte offers several aesthetic medicine treatments to restore a homogeneous and luminous skin. Methods include:

  • Dietary and micro-nutrient protocol to restore the integrity of the intestinal mucosa, because very often intestinal inflammation precedes inflammation of the skin (tasks, acne, eczema, rosacea and expansion of small facial vessels).
  • Photobiomodulation by Leds: treats solar and senile tasks, stimulating collagen for a firmer and brighter skin.
  • Microneedling combined with gentle peeling and anti-task active ingredients
  • Depigmentant peeling: recommended for post-inflammatory pigmentation and resistant stains.

Conduct of sessions

Each Aesthetic Medico act is customized according to the diagnosis established by Dr. Cayatte.

Thus, treatments, such as mesotherapy , peeling and leds , are performed on a cleansed skin , without tanning.

Treatment results

The results vary according to the type of treatment, but in most cases an improvement is visible at the end of the session.

In addition, the resorption of pigments by macrophages optimizes skin radiance about three weeks after the destruction of pigments.

The results of Dr. Marianne Cayatte's combined treatments were notable from the first session.

Dr. Marianne Cayatte will guide you to the treatment best suited to your skin.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions about the treatment of brown spots

Effective treatment considerably blurs the spots, but a daily photoprotection is essential to prevent recidivism. Without SPF 50+, the stains return. Dr. Marianne Cayatte integrates prevention into each protocol.
The solar lentigo is an accumulation of melanin following UV exposure, often in isolated areas. The melasma is a diffuse, hormonal hyperpigmentation that often covers both cheeks and forehead symmetrically. They do not treat each other exactly the same way.
In general 3-4 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the depth of the spots and their type. Depigmenting peels (azelaic acid, kojic acid, phytic) are the most suitable for pigment spots.
Yes, in combination with depigmenting assets. Microneedling creates microchannels that promote the penetration of active ingredients while stimulating cell renewal. It is particularly effective for HPI (acne series).
One SPF 50+ is imperative every morning, including in winter and overcast weather. Dr. Marianne Cayatte recommends that she be applied 30 minutes prior to exposure, and renewed every 2 hours in the event of prolonged exposure.
