Scalp exosomes: information and precautions
Concrete answers on the so-called "exosomes" products and questions to ask first of all care.
The times below are general estimates. The length of your appointment and your recovery instructions depend on the treatment area and the protocol selected.
What does the treatment involve?
Exosomes are small vesicles released by cells. The term is now used for preparations of different origins. Some are presented for hair, but their composition and route of use change from product to product.
Who is this treatment for?
A person who consults for a hair loss must first know his diagnosis. There is no young, mature or fat skin profile sufficient to indicate this type of care. Priority continues to be given to care for the cause of alopecia.
How's the session going?
- The doctor examines the hair loss and presents treatments that are of interest to your diagnosis.
- If you have a treatment proposal based on exosomes, bring its reference: origin, composition and intended use must be verified.
- An intact skin application, a microneedling application and an injection are not equivalent. A cosmetic product is not intended for injection.
- Decision-making and monitoring can only be defined from an identified product and appropriate use.
How long do you expect?
No standard duration: it would depend on the product and method. Time on site is specified after identification of the product and method.
Is it painful?
An application on intact skin and microperforations do not have the same sensations. Pain cannot be announced without a precise method.
What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?
The suites depend mainly on the associated procedure. A microneedling can cause redness and irritation for several days; it does not assimilate to a simple cosmetic application.
When will I see results?
The available data do not allow for a reliable delay of regrowth applicable to all products called exosomes.
How long do the effects last?
A duration of effect and a rate of maintenance for alopecia are not generally established. Promises of permanent repulse are not a medical benchmark.
Before and after your appointment
Do not inject a preparation for cosmetic use. Before choosing a treatment, ask for its exact name, route of use and the elements that justify its interest.
Precautions to be considered
Regulation depends on country and product. FDA reported problems with non-approved products in the United States; this notice does not replace status verification in France. Proven treatments of falling can be discussed during your assessment.
