Scalp polynucleotides in Montpellier

Understand the place of polynucleotides in a scalp care project.

The times below are general estimates. The length of your appointment and your recovery instructions depend on the treatment area and the protocol selected.

What does the treatment involve?

Polynucleotides are DNA chain fragments present in some injectable products. They are studied for their effects on tissues. For hair, research remains limited and products are not interchangeable with all the products called PDRN.

Who is this treatment for?

The choice begins with the diagnosis of a hair loss in adults, not by a young or mature skin type. The doctor checks whether a specific product has a place in your situation, in addition to the treatments of the cause.

How's the session going?

  1. The assessment specifies the type of product and the solutions already tested.
  2. Before deciding on an act, the doctor identifies the name of the product, its origin, route of use and possible allergies.
  3. When an injectable protocol is retained, the scalp is prepared and treated with multiple small injections.
  4. The follow-up is based on comparable photos and a re-evaluation of the scalp at a distance.

How long do you expect?

Duration depends on the product and surface. The name alone of the technique does not allow to set time on site; the secretariat specifies the niche of the chosen protocol.

Is it painful?

Injections of the scalp can sting and leave a transient sensitivity. Possible anesthesia depends on the product and the procedure.

What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?

Red dots, papules or small bruises are possible after injections. They may last several days; the time limit is specified according to the product.

When will I see results?

Hair density compares over several months. Current data do not allow for the announcement of a delay in regrowth common to all polynucleotides.

How long do the effects last?

The duration of the benefit and the best rate of care for the hair are not established for all these products. The follow-up determines whether it is appropriate to continue.

Before and after your appointment

Ask for the product reference and keep it in your file. Report your allergies, including food when the origin of the product justifies it.

Precautions to be considered

These products do not replace treatment for deficiency or inflammatory alopecia. PN and PDRN should not be confused: a product study does not necessarily describe what would be proposed to you.
