Scalp mesotherapy in Montpellier
A micro-injection protocol of the scalp, chosen after identifying the cause of the hair loss.
The times below are general estimates. The length of your appointment and your recovery instructions depend on the treatment area and the protocol selected.
What does the treatment involve?
scalp mesotherapy consists of depositing a preparation with small superficial injections into the scalp. Preparations can combine vitamins, minerals and amino acids; a U225 injector distributes micro-injections. The exact composition is selected and explained in consultation.
Who is this treatment for?
Adult women and men with a hair loss or hair that refines, following an assessment. Deficiency, thyroid disease or inflammatory alopecia first requires treatment for its cause. Advanced baldness zones do not respond as areas where follicles are still present.
How's the session going?
- The doctor examines the distribution of the hair loss and looks for the associated factors. tests are required if the examination so warrants.
- The scalp is prepared, then the solution is distributed by micro-injections in the selected areas.
- The protocol can start with one session every 2 weeks, then more spaced sessions. The schedule is adjusted to the product and evolution.
- Photos and examination of the scalp make it possible to decide the pursuit rather than rely on the number of hair seen one day.
How long do you expect?
Allow about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the surface and associated steps.
Is it painful?
Repeated needle pricks, with a greater sensitivity on certain areas of the scalp. The injector can improve the regularity of the procedure; discomfort remains possible.
What is recovery like, and is there any downtime?
Small red dots or sensitivity for a few hours to a few days. Daily activities usually resume quickly, depending on the follow-up and instructions.
When will I see results?
An evolution of the hair loss can be observed during the sessions. Density and caliber are assessed after 3 months or more, as the hair grows slowly.
How long do the effects last?
The result depends on the cause of the hair loss and its treatment. Follow-up may remain necessary; the maintenance rhythm is adapted after the course of treatment.
Before and after your appointment
Bring the existing tests and report any irritation. The moment of the next shampoo, colouring and sport is specified after treatment.
Precautions to be considered
Injections are postponed if there is an inflammatory flare-up or an infection of the scalp. Allergy, infection and inflammation are possible; tell the doctor about any products previously injected.
