A complete medical approach to hair loss
Hair loss is a complex problem that can have hormonal, nutritional, genetic or stress-related causes. Dr. Marianne Cayatte proposes a Complete hair balance to identify the factors involved before proposing a suitable protocol.
Its competence in nutrition and micronutrients It allows it to integrate food support into medical treatment · a comprehensive approach rarely proposed in practice. Injection techniques (PRP, mesotherapy, polynucleotides) complete this balance for lasting results.
The main causes of hair loss
Temporary or chronic, hair loss rarely results from a single factor. Dr. Cayatte's assessment identifies the mechanisms involved before proposing a targeted protocol.
The most common cause: 75 per cent of men and 25 per cent of women are affected. The androgens gradually reduce the diameter of the hair follicle until it is completely stopped.
In menopause, 45% of women suffer from a persistent fall. The decline of estrogen suppresses their protective role against androgens. Pregnancy and postpartum can also trigger temporary alopecia.
Deficiencies in iron, Zinc and vitamins B weaken the pilar bulb. Hypothyroidism causes a diffuse hair loss with difficult regrowth. A targeted blood test allows them to be identified and corrected.
Cortisol and adrenaline released under stress induce inflammation in the pilary bulb and disrupt the growth cycle. The hair loss is often delayed from 2 to 3 months after the stressful episode.
Tobacco reduces microcirculation to the bulb. Tensile hairstyles (weaving, extensions, tight tails), straightening and repeated staining permanently weaken the root.
Restrictive or rich diets of refined sugars (white bread, pastries, sodas) unbalance the production of sebum and reduce the oxygenation of the root. The affected proteins and amino acids are essential to keratin.

Knowing the stage of your alopecia allows Dr.Cayatte to adapt the protocol and estimate the expected results.
The Pilar Cycle in 3 Phases
Each hair follows an autonomous cycle of an average length of 4 years (5 years in women, 3 years in men). In alopecia, the growth phase gradually shortens, producing increasingly fine hair before the follicle disappears.
-
1
Anagenic phase — growth
From 3 to 5 years. 85% of the hair is in this active phase. The pilar bulb produces keratin. -
2
Catagenic phase — transition
Two to three weeks. The follicle retracts, the growth stops gradually. -
3
Telogenic phase — hair loss
Two to three months. The hair falls naturally (100–150/day is normal). A new cycle then restarts.
Ludwig classification (woman)
In women, hair loss is evaluated with Ludwig classification, which distinguishes three stages according to the density at the top of the skull. The female alopecia generally respects the front line of implantation on 1 to 3 cm.
Progressive lightening of the summit with widening of the middle line, respected front line. Very favourable results for mesotherapy and PRP.
More pronounced hair loss on top, rarer and shorter hair, visible scalp. Combination protocol PRP + mesotherapy + polynucleotides recommended.
Diffuse loss with very low density on the whole top. Rigenera mesograft may be considered if functional follicles are still present.
Typical protocol: 6 to 8 attack sessions (every 15 days), then maintenance every 1-2 months depending on the profile. The first consultation includes a targeted bioassay (iron, thyroid, zinc) to adapt the nutritional protocol.
